From the founder

For twenty-eight years, my work has been one thing: making healthcare accessible to Indians who could not afford it.

I set up the R.K. HIV AIDS Research and Care Centre in 1998, in Mumbai, when there were almost no organisations in India willing to address HIV at scale. We began with one free camp. Then a thousand. By 2026 we had held over 29,500 free medical camps. We have served more than four million patients. We hold fifteen Guinness World Records for what those camps have done.

In 2020, the work moved into homes. We founded Doctor 365 — the home healthcare arm of the mission — to bring ICU care, nursing, physiotherapy, online consultations, and dermatology into the homes of people who needed it. We have served 2,52,000+ patients in their homes since then.

Doctor 365 Care is the next chapter, and it is the part of the work I am most personally invested in. For years, the dermatologists in our practice have come back from home visits with one observation: patients ask, every time, for a skincare brand made for Indian skin and Indian conditions. There is no brand on the shelf today that has answered that question with the seriousness it deserves.

That is what we are building. I am not a formulator. I am the person who builds the businesses that make this possible. The formulation work — the actual science of what goes into the bottle — is being led by our team of dermatologists and skin scientists, in the parent company's clinical practice. My commitment is that it will meet the same standard of care that twenty-eight years of medical work has met.
